Connection, trust, authenticity, and genuine understanding are at the heart of meaningful therapy. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and collaborative space where clients feel comfortable showing up as they are, exploring challenges, processing life's experiences, and building on their strengths. Therapy can be a place to feel heard, gain perspective, and navigate life's ups and downs with support along the way.

About Brooke Larson Johnson, LCSW, ACS

Hi, I'm Brooke!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) with a Master of Social Work degree from Kennesaw State University, specializing in Children and Family Services. Throughout my career, I have worked in both nonprofit and private practice settings, supporting children, teens, adults, and families through a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and life challenges.

My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and tailored to each client's unique needs and goals. I strive to create a warm, supportive space where clients feel comfortable being themselves, exploring challenges, building insight, and developing practical tools for everyday life. Drawing from a cognitive behavioral framework, I help clients explore the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors while developing greater self-awareness, resilience, and effective coping strategies. I believe meaningful therapy is rooted in trust, authenticity, and genuine understanding, allowing clients to feel supported while working toward their personal goals.

I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Positive Discipline. My work integrates evidence-based practices with a person-centered approach, helping clients build on their strengths and develop skills that support long-term emotional well-being.

When working with children and teens, I often incorporate art and creative expression to help introduce and reinforce skills, encourage self-expression, and create meaningful reminders that can be carried into everyday life. I also value collaborating with parents, schools, and other supports when appropriate to help create a comprehensive and consistent approach to care.

It is a privilege to support clients through life's challenges, transitions, and opportunities for growth. Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family, I look forward to connecting with you.

Best,

Brooke
